Changes!

So a few things have changed since I last posted. First it started with losing my job in August. So the rest of August, I worked for my severance pay, then went to UT, for Labor Day weekend to see my new neice! September, Megan came down with here kids, and we had some fun times hanging out togethere. The 3 kids would come play at my house while mom and meg went shopping or did scrapbooking or were cleaning the house for a baby shower. Then my roommate who lived her (sort of--when she was sleeping and getting ready for the day she did) got married in September and moved out. And then Megan left...So, my next task was to find a roommate. Around mid October, the previous roomates couches were moved out, our Relief Society President became engaged... meaning I would be released from the presidency and the RS Pres. roommate, Jamie, needed a place to live. I also worked on my bathroom project, redoing the cabinets. I bought couches for a really good price and pet fish. The last couple of days in Oct. Jamie moved in and we are trying to come up with a name for the place... jamie squared, house of jamies, are two ideas. I still have one more room to fill. But here are some pictures.

Window seat was hidden with couches that were in here before!

Living room with couches and more decor on the wall

Decorations with Fish tank, which is behind the couches, but you see it as you walk into the house.

Now on to the bathroom project.

Cabinets went from oak with stain to black with distressed edges. Very classy and more up to date.

Light fixture went from old 80's style light with two bulbs to this with 5 bulbs... very bright in the bathroom now. It was also brought up to date.

Faucet went from hard water eating away at the base with a single plastic handle you lift to brushed nickel with two handles that you turn.

Total cost for bathroom project: little over $50! and it looks great!

My next project is redoing the master bath. I will be painting the cabinets as well, painting the walls to a lighter shade of plum, changing the light fixtures and faucets and then tiling the bathroom floors in both bathrooms.

Stay tuned for projects coming up!

That kinda makes me wonder why apartments don't update more it doesn't cost that much and kinda makes me want to just do it in our town home it looks so great! We have paint but I love the black so much I love red too and the white around it! We have those lights that are newer I did do that so I have made some changes. I bet you feel so great making all those changes you are great with interior decor!
